As everyone knows, Julia loved books (“The No Rules Librarian”) and stories and she loved to read.
Julia also loved her “Book Club”, but as she sometimes said,
“it’s more like a “Wine Club”, but she loved it.
She always had 4-6 books on the nightstand and always seemed
to be able to move between all of them, where I have a hard time reading two
different newspapers and keeping up with what’s happening in them.
She loved recommending books and authors to others and also
receiving recommendations as well.
Julia would be a bit taken aback by this short story contest
remembering her, but she would have really, really loved it.
Thanks to Louie and Heather for supporting this contest,
thanks to the judges and a special thank you to all of the contestants who
entered. Hopefully this contest will continue well into the future to inspire
up and coming writers (young and old) to enter with their stories, and also a
way for us to remember Julia.
